Software Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software functionality into our VantagePoint™ SaaS application. You will work closely with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of C# and JavaScript programming languages.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Experience with ASP.Net, Web Forms, CSS, and AJAX
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, TortoiseSVN, and Subversion version control system
- Experience with software development methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with generating and processing XML
- Experience with Progress / Telerik ASP.NET AJAX user interface library for Web Forms

Primary Duties

- Assist with new business development and tax issue recognition

Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of post-TCJA international tax quantitative consulting experience serving multinational corporations, including subpart F, GILTI, FDII, Treas. Reg. 861-8, and foreign tax credit
- Experience with international tax compliance requirements including, Forms 8990, 8991, 8992, 8993, 8975, 5471, 8858 and 1118
- Proficiency with Excel, Alteryx and/or other ETL tools
- CPA or JD
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
